Shopping for Musical Presents

I almost said musical gifts, but those might have to be developed, right? ;)

One of the things that rivals electronics when it comes to expensive presents kids ask for is musical instruments. Did you know you can often get them 'previously loved.' Yeah, used. Or in the words of one source of such instruments, already been played. Theoretically, I think if it's already been played, it should have absorbed a little skill and knowledge, right?

Regardless, the expense of a new instrument can be prohibitive when it's something your child is trying out to see if it's a good fit for their skills and life. It always looks like fun when you see it played well, but not everyone has the time or energy to be successful playing a new instrument.

Consider a used instrument to get the experience you need while deciding if it's really what you want to be playing.
