Twelfth Day of Christmas - 2013

I usually try not to ask for gift cards on this list (although I do reserve it as a great option when asked what I want and I don't have a list ready..), but today's ideas are a bunch of little things - makeup and hair stuff, specifically - that can all be purchased from Sephora. So I'll go with a gift card from Sephora.

But in the spirit of this list, here are some things I'd probably get if such a gift card fell into my hands:
MakeUp Forever Aqua Eyes eyeliner (in several colors, including the 5L, 6L and 14L, otherwise known as deep olive green, purple black, and pearl white sheen),
a hair glossing/shine serum (since it's not my normal salon, I'm open to suggestions here), and maybe even the
Sephora by OPI gelshine At-Home Gel Colour System to do my own fancy nails.

Or maybe not, since I'd be afraid of screwing them up.

But definitely the eyeliner. And probably something for my hair ;)

Eleventh Day of Christmas - 2013

Yes, Virginia, I DO need more boots (in a size eight, I think)! Something that will keep my feet cozy and warm, and help me not break my neck walking on ice. I had a pair from a sporting goods chain store last year, but by the end of the season, the eyelets for the lacing had totally ripped off.

These look toasty and warm, and are even on sale right now! For what it's worth, I also really liked the look of some Sorel brand boots at Zappos. The mid-calf height looks quite doable with jeans, and a little extra warmth for me, right?

But on that note, does anyone have anything good or bad to say about the Sorel ones? Similar in style to these Columbias in the picture...

Tenth Day of Christmas - 2013

Okay, I've gone back and forth about requesting this one, but seeing yet another book that I couldn't just 'buy' has made up my mind.

I want a Kindle or comparable e-reader. I really don't know much about them, as I honestly like holding real books while I read. I've used my mom's Kindle before, and it was pretty cool, but overall I don't think there are a lot of reasons I'd buy one for myself.

Except I'm getting tired of going to get recommended books and seeing them only available for e-readers. Or books I wouldn't mind reading, free for a limited time.. for e-readers.

So I'm giving in to peer pressure. And trusting someone else's judgment to get me what I need in an e-reader.

Ninth Day of Christmas - 2013

You know I usually have tickets somewhere in this list :) I haven't yet seen the Trans-Siberian Orchestra in person (and I think they've been on my list a couple times!) but this year I just saw a billboard for Cirque du Soleil coming to Joe Louis Arena in Detroit in February!

I have wanted to see one of the Cirque du Soleil shows since my girls' trip to Vegas way back in 2005. A bunch of the group I was with went, but I just couldn't afford a ticket since I was out of work right then (it was miraculous enough that I made it to Vegas!).

Eighth Day of Christmas - 2013

I did finally get my ErinCondren.com life planner last year (by mid-January, anyway) and I've already received my new one for 2014.

But for something on my wish list, I'd LOVE this address book with 'The Bayley Family' as my personalization in the script on the bottom of the cover.

I wish I could see the inside of it, but I love both of my planners so much, I'm pretty darn sure I can make the address book work with my life too.

Seventh Day of Christmas - 2013

I desperately need new gloves again! I love these from Isotoner. They're pretty much the same ones I have from a couple years ago, but without the holes through the fingertips that are there now ;) I really like the nice thick knit - they were so cozy!

While I've linked to the Totes/Isotoner site, I think I saw them at Kohl's when I got them a couple years ago. And they've always got stuff on sale, too.

After the parade tonight in 11 degree weather, I just know I need more poor little fingers to be a little more protected this winter!

Sixth Day of Christmas - 2013

I always, always need more jeans. Especially because I never machine dry them so they won't shrink in length. So it takes me two days to wash them, and I currently only have two favorite pairs.

I like my LA Idol jeans. While you can get them through a Vault Denim representative (they do home parties with jeans), you can also get them online. I like this pair of skinny jeans to go with my blue-print shirtdress.

And while I would swear the two pair I have are closer to a straight leg, apparently I'm mis-judging it, because all that's available besides skinny is bootcut. So fine, I could use a pair of bootcut too. Not real picky on the pocket design.

The two pair I have and like are size 7.

Fifth Day of Christmas - 2013

Slippers! I always need slippers, and go through at least two pair each year. I'm usually a pretty traditional bunny girl, but as long as the back is open (not completely around my foot), I'm good.

This site kinda cracked me up. I wish the killer bunny slippers or the zombie slippers were available with no back. ;)

My shoe size is an 8, if that makes any difference.

Fourth Day of Christmas - 2013

I had been trying to figure out how to describe this item, since when I tried to search for it the other day I couldn't find quite what I wanted. But my mom encouraged me to persevere (and called me back to tell me there's one at Meijer for $30!).

For online purposes, I want a four foot folding table for a little crafting area in my office. This 48" X 24" available at Lowe's would work quite well. It will go just inside my office door, along the wall leading to a storage cabinet with my business supplies.

Now I'm off to search for some document shelving to put underneath at one end, to compensate for my closet shelves that just weren't strong enough for all my paperwork.

Third Day of Christmas - 2013

Sorry I couldn't decide on a picture for this one, but I really need a new pair of casual/tennis shoes (size 8, I think). I'm not athletic at all, but I want a comfy shoe for the days when I spend too much time on my feet. Something that ties tightly with a nice arch. If it looks fun, that's even better, but not a vital requirement ;)

Second Day of Christmas - 2013

I'm not too much of a girly-girl usually, so I hope I'm asking for the right stuff. I like an Ed Hardy perfume I got a few years ago, but it's pretty much gone. As near as I can tell from the bottle, it's Ed Hardy Eau de Perfum, and the bottle looks like the picture to the left.

After reading the scent description on a couple other sites (except for the Amazon listing that says there's a couple words missing on the bottle and it smells good, but not like the 'real' perfume...), I'm pretty sure this is it. It's tropical and sweet, with very little floral scent to it. Right up my alley.

And hubby likes it too, which is a bonus ;)

First Day of Christmas - 2013

First of all, I have to say I'm adding my 12 Days of Christmas items in the order that I find the perfect one, absolutely not in the order of how much I want them.

I would LOVE to have this new, very stable looking clothes sorter, but please don't think it's the gift I'd like most in the world this holiday season.

The one  we are using now is plastic, and I've had it quite a few years. There are some holes in the mesh bags that attach to the stand, and getting the bags attached to the stands is quite frustrating! That being said, it's still in use because I hadn't seen anything else that would suite my needs as well... til now!

I first saw this beauty on a blog that I found through a Pinterest pin (are you keeping up with all this?). So a big thanks to Harvard Homemaker for finding what I thought lived only in my imagination for years!
