They Say it's MY Birthday - Post 6

I keep having random ideas of things I might like to have as I move through my day, but then I sit here and my mind goes blank. Or it's things I feel annoying asking for, like some of the Mary Kay make-up I liked the other day, or a Perfectly Posh lip gloss to replace the one I left in my car (which is in the shop for at least another week).

But for something to ask for right now? Hmm....

Ah! I would LOVE to have a short-ish table by the door to my office, to be a little crafting station.

I like the little hangy cup things for my Sharpies and such in this one. (Yes, I realize this one is very short and made for kids...work with me!) I've seen some pictures that utilize pegboard in a totally awesome way as well. I would also need some shelves big enough for 12 X 12 paper (sorted) and probably an additional light source over there.

On the one hand, I'm worried about cramming too much stuff into my office, but in reality, if I could just get it cleaned up (and keep it that way), it would be a good way to use the space. My desk currently (even if it was clean) has too many documents and things sorted where I can reach them to have a clear enough surface for craftiness.

Well, I already arranged a business swap and ordered the business card holder I wanted in post four. Which shortens my list to three again...but who's counting?

I've recently changed the way I'm dealing with stuff at my chocolate tasting parties. I used to have a small-ish three ring binder that held a copy of the catalog and some extra order forms and such, but the new catalog is funky sized, so I was suddenly left with a nearly empty binder. So I quit carrying it. But now I've discovered that I don't have a good system for keeping the orders I'm currently collecting together, or extra order forms handy.

The solution I think will work for me is to have one of those clipboards that opens up for a bit of storage, like this or maybe this. I'm sort of leaning toward the pink one (second link), but I'm not sure if there's a benefit to having the opening either vertical or horizontal. Anyone have any input on these?

And while some people wouldn't request work supplies as a birthday gift, I really enjoy my office supplies, so it would be okay. :)

Say! I found something to put on my list that I won't actually wear. And I'll sort of use it for my business...or at least my business cards ;)

I would love to have the Lulu business card holder from Gigi Hill. Lulu is actually the name of the pattern; Lana is the name of the business card holder.

If you haven't seen one of these in person, you totally should. There's little hingey things inside so it almost serves up your business cards to you when you open it. I currently just keep my business cards crammed in every little pocket in my bag, so they're constantly flying out of there and at everyone surrounding me. Which may not be all bad, I suppose....

This will come as a total shock, I'm sure, but mama still needs more clothes! If you know me, you'll know this isn't because I'm a clothes horse, but because I actually don't have much to choose from in my own closet.

Unfortunately, this post will be a bit boring for a spell, as blogger isn't in the mood to upload the pictures I got from a shopping site.

I want more jeans! I've decided I really like the L.A. Idol brand jeans (size 7, please). I want some capris and full length, but my biggest requirement is that they don't look 'distressed'. I'm too old to purposely buy jeans that don't look fresh and new. But I'm not too old for skinny jeans. Maybe. I go back and forth on that one. Right now, I'm willing to give them a try ;)

Yay! I already warned you there would be more than a bit of personal apparel here, right? Today while looking for new shoes that would be cute, but still flats so I don't kill any comfort left in my back, I found these adorable "Fit in Clouds" foldable flats! I honestly can't see them lasting forever, being foldable and all, but a few pairs at a reasonable price might be fun!

I was most drawn to these adorable retro style ones, but the different colors of snakeskin ones would be nicely funky too. Based on their sizing information, it looks like I'd be wearing a Large.

I'm not exactly sold on the title for these posts yet, but I figured that can't stop me from writing them! Otherwise how will everyone know what to get me?? :P

There's definitely going to be some clothes on this list. I've been sort of drawn to some patterned bottoms lately (maybe because bottoms tend to fit me better than tops?). Anyway, if you look at something like this gorgeous maxi-skirt for me, please consider getting me a solid-color top to match. Because I don't have many tops, and I'd hate to have a new skirt and not be able to wear it because I had no decent shirt to pair it with. Just sayin... Oh, and probably a size Medium. I think. My newest jeans are a 7, which falls exactly between a small and a medium on the sizing chart. Ugh. Just cruel, you know?
