My Holiday Wish List - Day 12 - 2024

There's a few make up things I use regularly, and they all need to be restocked in my bathroom ;)

For full-coverage foundation, I love my Lancome Teint Idole Ultra Wear (it's the one with the black top). It also is SPF 15, if including that or not is an option. My shade is 110C, but the Lancome website says that is currently out of stock! I originally got mine at Ulta.

I got the Winky Lux White Tea Tinted Moisturizer at Target. It is SPF 30, so I wear it quite a bit especially in summer. Unfortunately, their bottle doesn't say what shade it is! I would be either Fair or the next 'darker' (which still is pretty pale) one.

Lastly, I also got my Tarte Tubing Mascara at Ulta. It's the purple tube, with black mascara, and I generally get waterproof, if that's an option (I can't even read the tiny label on the bottom).

My Holiday Wish List - Day 11 - 2024

First of all, the slippers earlier on my wish list have become urgent! One of my slippers disappeared on Saturday night. Yes, I realize that sounds ridiculous. We don't have a dog, and my cats have never been the sort to steal anything larger than a hairband. So where is my right slipper!???

Anyway, while slippers are on my list every year, so are compression socks <3 I'm perpetually cold all winter, and the squeezy socks just feel so good! Facebook showed me some new ones a little bit ago, and they look so fun! CrazyCompression.com has single pairs, as well as three, four and five packs, available in standard or wide sizes. I think the standard would be fine. My shoe size says I should wear a Sm/Md. The aqua cute sloths are adorable, and the Super Mom pack has an amazing looking comic print included! 

My Holiday Wish List - Day 10 - 2024

This one was started by my kids. My daughter especially loves these Needoh squishies. I like borrowing the more firm ones the most, so I think that's the Dream Drop and the Ice Cube. Maybe more, but when I asked her which ones were most firm, she said I should search Tik Tok. I am not falling for that. As soon as I search, I'm sure most of my videos will suddenly be about Needohs, and then I'll just need them more.

My Holiday Wish List - Day 9 - 2024

I have well and truly fallen down the rabbit hole. LOL

This site (Storiarts) has SO MUCH fun stuff! I - of course - like lots of the Alice in Wonderland stuff (although I'm currently pretty partial to Little Women also, although there seem to be less items with this theme). And I really enjoyed The Night Circus too.

Well, apparently although this was supposed to be just adding a quick item or two to my holiday wish list, it's somehow become a refreshing of my 'books I want to read again' list. 

Anyway, super fun site for browsing. the fingerless gloves, scarves, headbands, and nifty leather quote bracelets looked like some pretty neat items to me.

My Holiday Wish List - Day 8 - 2024

Some social media channel showed me this months ago, so I sent the link to my hubs and daughter (usual shoppers). It would be a great calendar for my desk at work - Dragons with Jobs! LOL I had a page-a-day calendar this year, but I keep getting so frazzled and overworked that I feel I'm hardly reading and appreciating it. These fun pictures may be just enough to decorate and help me keep track of the days. 

A search was easy to find the calendar on Etsy, but that's not even the first link I sent my family, so there are definitely multiple sources for this cool calendar. And I always love dragons.

 

My Holiday Wish List - Day 7 - 2024

TikTok did it again (if I recall correctly). They showed me a really cool rotating bookcase - kind of like this one (which I'm seeing similar versions of at Home Depot or Michaels). As with many hobbies, collecting and actually doing are two separate things when it comes to books. I like to read, but I also end up with a number of books that I must keep. Or that I'm hoarding - I mean holding on to - until I read them, at least. 

I'm especially enamored with how they put things besides books sometimes to mix up the visual effect. I know I keep saying I'm gonna clean my office. I want to make it a cozy spot for me to enjoy being surrounded by stuff that brings me happy memories, ya know?

A rotating book shelf would be a little different than the other shelves around my office, and look cool.

My Holiday Wish List - Day 6 - 2024

Candles! I always enjoy burning candles! Partylite are admittedly my favorites. I like jars, mini jars, pillars, and even votives and tealights to go with all the candles holders I've had forever. I like food/candy/sweet scents better than flowers, I think. I've got a good bourbon and something (not Partylite) going in my bedroom now. I like to light a candle and curl up with a cocktail and a good book for a little bit before I go to sleep each night. Some Partylite favorite scents have always been Holiday Spices, almost anything with Strawberry or Watermelon, most versions of Vanilla, and Lavender (my exception to the floral guidelines).

My Holiday Wish List - Day 5 - 2024

I wore my newest pair of jeans the other day, and I think they're my current favorites. They're from Wallflower, and I've got a curvy (laughable - I am not curvy) size 9, long. I do not want a low-rise, if that's still a think. They've got a unique sort of cut that goes a little lower in the front, actually, so it buttons more comfortably. And I like the long length because it covers my ankles, and also cuz I'll then wear heels. Even my lil kitten heels are good enough to not walk on my pants. According to a quick search, these are available at Kohl's, Target, Amazon (where I got mine), and Walmart. No guarantees on getting the tall ones like I like at anywhere but Amazon, though.

My Holiday Wish List - Day 4 - 2024

Okay. Going out on a limb this time, but I want a cool lamp/decoration for my work desk. Like a lava lamp (that isn't a billion degrees like the classic ones) or a fake aquarium that lights and has fake fish or jellyfish, or just a unique light/decoration. I know, kind of a hard ask.

This Jellyfish Aquarium is from Discovery and Walmart, or similar versions are also through Smithsonian and Playlearn (on Oriental Trading). 

I think this is something my parents got my niece last year for Christmas, but I forgot until right now. I should probably ask her if it's as cool and hypnotic as it looks.

For some reason I feel like this is something some of the kids and teenagers in my life would be familiar with. Maybe I'm just an overgrown kid, but I would love something fun and relaxing to look at (as an alternative to dual monitors full of words and numbers...).
 

My Holiday Wish List - Day 3 - 2024

Another regular for me is slippers! I almost always wear slippers in my house, and I think the ones I have on now are a couple years old. These are Pajamagrams, size L, and fit well. I like the slide/mule style, and my shoe size is 9. I also like them to cover my toes, cuz toes. I go back and forth between harder soles, and just textured soles. While I say I wear them in the house, I've been known to get the mail in them, or admittedly make it half way to the neighbor's house in winter. Sorry, gentle slippers.

My Holiday Wish List - Day 2 - 2024

There's a few things that occur regularly on my holiday wish lists. I like to get a new pair of gloves each year, for example. I also take reasonably good care of my things. Since I still have my gloves from previous years, I can't really justify getting new ones until I wear through the old ones. But who doesn't like new things?!?

My favorites are usually the Isotoner Knit gloves, and I think their Fairisle or snowflake patterns look nice. My quick google search says they're usually available at Kohls, or of course straight through Isotoner.

My Holiday Wish List - Day 1 - 2024

I haven't done this for a few years, but decided I wanted to do it again this year. I am starting posting a little earlier in the year (I used to do it starting December 1) for the sake of shipping. LOL

I've been enjoying building some of my Lego sets lately.  I got the Bonsai Tree last year for Christmas and haven't started it yet, but I will! I did finish a bird (I think it was a three-in-one set from last Christmas), and the Haunted Mansion Lego Set from the Disney Store. I'm starting on the Brickheadz of Cruella and Maleficent. While the Villian Icons set looked really neat on the Lego site, I'm asking for the Wildflower Bouquet (Item 10313) in this post. I'd love to put it together and display it at the stair landing when I don't have fresh flowers there.
