I wish I could remember which friend on Facebook was looking for running shoe recommendations the other day. She said something about a particular feature she needed addressed in the instep. Not knowing a lot about running or shoes, it didn't occur to me at the time that she could invest in best selection superfeet insoles and maybe not be as picky about the actual shoe.
It seems more and more people are running lately. A friend almost talked me into training for a marathon (with much better shoes than I've ever owned, and a much better support sports bra than I've ever encountered) but then when I thought some more about it, it really didn't take much effort at all to talk myself back out of it. See, when I do some sort of aerobics class, the option is always there to stop what you're doing, and walk out of class. With running? Not so much! Wherever you run to, you have to run back. :(
