Happy Halloween

Yet another wonderful Halloween is underway.

Halloween is my favorite holiday, but the emphasis is definitely more on my kids' enjoyment than mine anymore. And this year in particular, our neighborhood party is tonight after trick or treating. I'll be able to attend for just a few minutes, since I actually have to work extra early tomorrow! How is that fair?!?

My daughter is Daphne from Scooby Doo this year, and my son is Dipper Pines from the show Gravity Falls. I love seeing them enjoy dressing up and using their imaginations. I've made them both watch Hocus Pocus at least a few times this month week, plus a few times earlier in the month. It remains one of my favorite halloween movies. It made my heart happy when my son wanted to come straight home today instead of going out for lunch after the half day of school, so he could watch Room on the Broom. They had watched some of it during his classroom party, but never sat still long enough to watch all of it, so he wanted to finish it.

I hope you and yours have a very happy halloween!! Be kind to the little beggars who come for candy, and remember even the tall ones may need to be kids for just a little longer.
