Over Already?

I saw a post on Facebook today from a friend a few hours north saying the color-change season is done already. I wish autumn lasted longer! I was just noticing all the beautiful fiery colors, and it seems they'll be gone any day now.

Several times in the last couple days I've seen a tree looking just so perfect. As I left the bus stop this morning, a breeze must have picked up. I didn't notice and additional chill to the air; I just saw the fluttering yellow leaves falling from the neighbor's tree. Right now the memory is still fresh and vibrant in my mind, but I wish I'd been carrying my camera and could have preserved the image forever.

I'll have to settle for someone else's picture from Photobucket....
