Mom and I had a great time at the Longaberger Homestead yesterday! Even after how fabulous all the shops and displays and activities were inside, every time we went outside between buildings I'd have to say again, "It feel SO GOOD out here!!" We had our surprise Indian summer, I suppose. It was definitely a surprise to me, as I left my daughter with my dad for the day with long pants and a long-sleeved shirt to wear in 90 degree weather - sorry, Maggie!
My Wordless Wednesday post earlier today was of the 19-foot basket of apples statue on the Homestead. Of course it was a beautiful day anyway, but each of the apples had a perfect little shiny spot making them look perfect! We walked past the apple basket several times: on our way from the Welcome Center to the restaurant, then back to the Welcome Center, then to J.W.'s workshop and back, and finally watched it recede in the distance as we made one last trek to the barn. By the time we got back in the car for another four-hour-plus car ride, not only were we glad to take a seat, we were able to enjoy a few snacks without wondering does nutrisystem work - we'd had enough exercise to feel good the old-fashioned way!

You were right by me! I grew up / live 20 minutes from Dresden ;) My mama was a weaver there for many years. What a small world :)
