Entering the Race for Chase - A Guest Blogger Post

Posted by Gaylord Campbell

It's that time of year again. The Nascar Sprint Cup series is coming down to its final races. The Race for the Chase is about to begin. This year I am very excited about the finish of the season. I will be watching closely with directtv Ohio. My hope is that Kasey Kahne will win although he has fallen off in the past few races. After his win at Michigan, he has struggled only making the top ten once. This shouldn't be a problem for him though.

Kasey is a competitor all around. Just because he has been falling further in the pack does not mean that he has given up. He will fight to the end and do everything he can to make up this deficit. Michigan is coming up and we all know that he can win there. Once he does that, his momentum will be back on track. We'll see him in the Race for the Chase. I can almost guarantee it.

Other drivers who I think will be in the hunt with Kasey include Earnhardt Jr., Mark Martin and Denny Hamlin. Jeff Gordon shouldn't have a problem either as he always runs great at both Bristol and Watkins Glen. I think Kurt Busch will be missing from the Race for the Chase though. He just can't seem to get any consistency or gain any momentum. He'll be missed.
