I Cooked - No, Really!

What a busy afternoon! Maggie and I were running, and running, and running! The best moment for me was at one of our stops when some office people gave Maggie a sucker because she was so cute. Then apparently one didn't cover her cuteness, because they gave her another one. Which led to the very best part. She brought one sucker over to me to open. Once I opened it and went to give it to her, she said, "No, that one's for mommy." Which of course was so cute they wanted to give her another one :) That's my girl!

If she keeps sharing this well, I'm going to need weight loss products, especially if she has as much of a fondness as I do for junk food!

But my big impressive feat tonight was making dinner. We're seldom all home in the evening anymore, so we don't have many 'real' meals. Tonight I made an effort (well, more than usual, I mean). I tried to hide the packaging, but hubby recognized the rotisserie chicken I'd picked up already done. But I did cook noodles, corn on the cob and asparagus to go with it! It was quite yummy, if I do say so myself...

we all need a little help once in a while. We have a lot of dinners with things you add to it. We had asparagus last night too. I roasted them in the oven with the sweet potatoes. They were quite good that way, but you do have to watch them to make sure they don't get to toasty.
