Is it really only Tuesday? 24 last night was awesome...again. Sometimes I feel guilty for how hard I try to get Maggie to sleep before it starts so I can watch 'my show.' But really? I see other peoples' lists of shows and decide I'm not doing too bad. And it doesn't actually start til an hour after Maggie's bedtime anyway.
I don't remember being nearly as concerned about my back surgery in 2006 as I am about my heart procedure now. Aging is apparently not doing good things for my anxiety levels.
Maggie threw an all-out tantrum at 9:00 tonight when I wouldn't let her finish watching The Princess and the Frog. I finally let her go to bed without brushing her teeth as my part of negotiations. Which really doesn't make much sense, since she usually likes brushing her teeth (translation: sucking all the water and bubble gum flavored toothpaste off her toothbrush).
There's something each day that just makes me shake my head and laugh at Maggie. Tonight it was as we were leaving our playdate. She took her cup of cheerios from snack and headed upstairs to go without me. When I caught up a couple minutes later, she was sitting on the couch watching tv in their living room. She had the cup of cheerios in her lap and had just finished waving hello to the kid's dad who was working on his laptop at the other end of the couch. Make yourself at home, Maggie. Really.

she is so precious. I love the time we get to spend together.
I love it when they do that. They are just so at ease and comfortable anywhere. If only we could bottle that and take it with us to adulthood, you know, to pull out when we need it!
