A Fun Way to Spend a Week

When I went to Mimi and Papa's to pick up Maggie yesterday afternoon, everyone was just sitting down to dinner as we arrived. I figured I'd missed the whole party. Luckily no one was in a hurry to head out afterwards, so Maggie got to play with her cousin (and so did I!) for a while after dinner.

Once the rest of the family was on their way home, Maggie wanted to go downstairs and play 'fishing.' I thought it sounded interesting. Boy was I in for a treat!

What Maggie had been doing with Mimi and Papa while I was gone, and now I finally got to do as well, was play Wii! That's right - until yesterday afternoon I was the last person alive (I'm pretty sure) who had never played Wii. As it turns out, I'm not too bad at bowling - I think it's the natural-born athlete in me ;) Just about all the games I tried were fun, even if the age-rank thingy says I'm older than either of my parents (I was 53, mom was 49 and dad was 25!). I'll try not to take it personally.

We've had lots of practice. This morning I was even younger :)

Yeah, you'll definitely have to try again to get "younger." :-)
