I've Been Tagged!
Tammy tagged me for the Nine Question meme. Not even double digits - I can do this!
1. Have you ever been on TV? - Not that I recall.
2. Have you ever sung in public? - I used to be in the choir, so I sang a few times.
3. Have you ever dyed your hair blonde? - No. I'd look horribly washed out as a blonde.
4. Have you ever eaten frogs' legs? - Don't think so...
5. Have you ever received a present you really hated? - Nope.
6. Have you ever walked into a lamp post? - Not that I recall
7. Have you ever cooked a meal by yourself for more than 15 people? - Definitely not. There'd probably be a body count.
8. Have you ever fallen or stumbled in front of others? - Yup. I was usually intoxicated when it happened.
9. Have you ever done volunteer work? - Heck yeah. I used to do projects with my Girl Scout troop, was a Girl Scout leader, taught Sunday School, probably other stuff...

A Small Victory
I really don't know what I (or we?) did to deserve such a fantastic baby. Maggie goes down in her crib, but then when she wakes up (usually around 1:00 AM or so), we bring her to our bed for the rest of the night. She's recently started going to bed a bit earlier (admittedly, so I can work). A few minutes ago she woke up (just after midnight!), and I'm still trying to work.
I quietly went into the dark nursery and she quieted immediately to see me. I got her out of the crib, nursed her in the glider in her room, and put her back in the crib. She's asleep again and I can finish what I'm doing! Yay!!

Another Award!
Well, the good news about a lack of appropriate work means I can work on my blog! Yay!! A while ago, Crazy Mom with 4 Boys gave me this award (and watch for another post later with yet another award I've been too busy to post for a while!).
I don't see any rules with this one, so I'm going to wing it and just pass it along to a few bloggers I have something in common with:
Michelle Lynn for living in cold, cold (lately) Michigan with me.
Jodi, another 'Michigan' sister!
Megan was my 'sister' on a mostly-boy site for a long time.
Amy and I were doing the same thing on the same day of the month for a few months. Hahahahahaha.....
The Adventures of Grunty and Chubbs is an actual relative - my cousin out in California :)

An Award for Me!
Some days, you just need an award to feel appreciated. Somehow, B Boys Mom knew that today was one of those days! The Friendship Award means:
"These blogs are exceedingly charming. These kind bloggers aim to find and be friends. They are not interested in self-aggrandizement. Our hope is that when the ribbons of these prizes are cut, even more friendships are propagated. Please give more attention to these writers. Deliver this award to six bloggers who must choose six more and include this cleverly-written text into the body of their award.
Now I have to send this award to 6 bloggers who I love.

Cold outside - TV time for me!
Hubby likes doing the outdoorsy stuff. Luckily he also likes taking pictures ;) Thanks to him for the fabulous post the other day when he took Maggie out sledding!
Myself, I'd rather stay inside when it's this cold and snowy out. I actually haven't left the house since...Monday. And that was just because Maggie was having a very fussy day. I finally went the, "Maybe she'll sleep in a moving car," route, and it worked. Tomorrow we'll actually leave again. *Gasp*
Inside time is thankfully coinciding with good TV shows coming back on in my world. 24 has been a favorite since the first season, so I'm thrilled that Jack is back! I also loved the first two seasons of Rock of Love, so Rock of Love Bus is a brand new adventure (although I haven't yet seen last weekend's episode, since it overlapped with the 24 premier).
Another classic that I can usually wile away hours in front of are the rehabilitation center shows. Intervention is admittedly my favorite, but I've also been known to get sucked into Celebrity Rehab a time or two.
Honestly, I don't watch nearly as much TV as many people I know. After giving up TV for Lent in my junior year of high school (even though I've never been Catholic), I never really got back into it. Little did I know the benefit this could have for the rest of my life! I gave soda up the next year, but now I don't go a day without Cherry Coke - go figure!

Maggie goes sledding
After being cooped up in the house all day, Maggie and Hubby decided to take advantage of the fresh fallen snow on a sunny Sunday afternoon.

Dad makes sure Maggie is bundled up nice and warm!

"I'm ready to go Dad, bring out the sled!"

Another Maggie Picture :)
Today was Maggie's and my lucky day! First she actually fell asleep a little early for her morning nap, so she had time to get an hour in before we left to meet a friend for lunch.
After lunch, we headed to Babies R Us. Almost as soon as we got there, a woman came over and commented on how pretty Maggie is, and asked if she could 'practice' taking her picture at the Kiddie Kandids studio and give us a free 8 X 10 - heck yeah!

A Review/Test
Think you remember 2008? It doesn't seem that far gone yet, but according to this test I found at My Crazy Life with a Toddler:
