Aren't there some people that you can just tell what to get them each year. People like teachers, police officers, especially ones where their career seems to dictate their life... They end up with themed gifts. For example, since teachers only know their students in the classroom (primarily) they end up with "#1 Teacher" mugs, apple trinkets, etc, etc.
I was reminded of this last weekend at Bronner's. Bronner's (for those not from the local area) is the largest Christmas store. Seriously. And they have ornaments for every occupation, hobby, title, whatever under the sun. Or under the tree, as the case may be. Kind of crazy, but it definitely can solve some gift giving dilemmas.

My mom sent us an ornament from Bronners in 2006!! If you feel like traveling to Ohio during the fall, you should check out the Pine Tree Barn in Wooster, OH (my hometown), my mom works there - it's pretty cool!!
Bronners is a great place to pick up gifts.
