As I mentioned in my previous post, with one of the cars sold, I'm ready to finally start my holiday shopping! I'd like to not get Maggie a bunch of commercial toys, so I've been shopping around for stuff that a) is more 'natural,' less plastic, b) helps contribute to imaginary play and c) helps another mommy stay home with her kids!
Tonight's big want is felt food from Abunchakids. I've known about it for a while, but now I'm motivated. Once I get the money from my kitchen counter to the bank, the fried chicken dinner will be mine! Or rather, Maggie's once she opens her holiday presents ;)
What have you found with these criteria for your kids? Or if you sell something that fits the bill, let me know!

In some of the malls they use to have speciality toy stores. They had lots of learning toys. I would by fun puzzles for little figures. I have not been to a mall in a long time so I don't no if they are still there.
