Saturday Social

from Hello...My name is Lisa.
What is the first thing you would do if you won the lottery?

I have to admit first off, this isn't just a rhetorical question for me. I won the lottery just the other day. $2 from the scratch-off I bought with my Cherry Coke. Never mind that I paid $2 for the ticket (and another $2 for one that didn't even win). I won, dammit. I'm a winner.

Now, the reason I buy the $2 scratch-offs? My momma taught me to. I remember her telling my dad that the best reason to buy the tickets was because you were investing the price of the ticket for a chance to spend a few minutes day-dreaming about what you'd do if you won it all.

I've had these dreams many, many times. If I won it all, I would definitely quit my part-time job, but that wouldn't be the first thing.
First, I'd probably start calling in the contractors to fix and redo the stuff around the house that I want done.
And order a couple more nursing shirts (since I've yet to find a brick-and-mortar store where I can buy them).
And pay someone to fix the two cars in our garage, so hubby doesn't have to worry about them anymore.
Okay, this could go on all day, right? But the original question was for the first thing I'd do...

First...hmm....I think the immediate thing on my agenda would be to take hubby out for dinner, and tell him our lives were about to get a little easier. I married him for a lot of reasons, the first one being that he's the one I'd be most excited to share such a huge joy with.

What is a Brick 'N Mortar store? Similar to? Almost like? Resembles? (curious minds want to know. Or is that nosy?) Never the less... what is it? Thanx

Oops! I worked in internet-land too long...Since I used to work for an online merchant, I got used to using the term brick-and-mortar...all it means is a real store that you walk in to (i.e...made of bricks and mortar) :)

This is a very hard question and you answered it very good. I would say I would tell my hubby he didn't have to go back to work right away. He started a new job today and I don't think it's really what he wants, but we need to eat. If we won the lottery he would not have to work for us to eat. Isn't lottery dreams fun.
