Useless Vent

I've tried to add Google AdSense to my blog, really I have. I add the cute lil widget, and then I get an email at my gmail account which says:

Hello,

You are receiving this email because you recently requested access to use AdSense through blogger.com. In order to use AdSense features through blogger.com, you'll need to give the site access to the ad code and performance information in your AdSense account. To do so, please follow this link:

https://www.google.com/adsense/etc,etc,etc.

If you believe you've received this email in error, or have any questions, we suggest you contact the owners of blogger.com.

When I follow the handy little link, I get a window that says this:

To offer you special features ...useless terms and conditions... or payment history.

The website has requested access to your account:

Yes, allow to access my account
No, do not allow to access my account

Note that for services that provides, words, words, words as described below:

Blah, blah, blah...

And when I select the radio button before, "Yes, allow to access my account," I get this cute little error message:

(Big, threatening looking X in a red circle)
Runtime Error!
Program:C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\IEXPLORE.EXE

This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.
Please contact the applications's support team for more information.

Once I click on the OK in the error message, all IE windows close. That is so much less than useful.

And when I email Google for support? They send me the same first email again and tell me to try again. No dice, but thanks for your cut-and-paste message, folks.

Anyone know how to get around this?

I'm going to go click OK in the error message now and watch my windows close. Catch you later!
