Imagine that everything is going just swimmingly. The sun is shining, the birds are singing, and all’s right with the world. You’re practically bouncing from health and have money in your pocket. The kids are playing and laughing, the puppy is chewing in the cutest possible manner on an officially-sanctioned chew toy, and in between moments of laughter for pure joy, you pick up a book to read . . .
What is it?
For me, I don't really have a list of 'books for a good mood' or 'books for a bad mood' (okay, there may be a couple books I can count on to distract me/cheer me up). Right now, my mom has been handing off several by Debbie Macomber which are pleasant enough to pass an afternoon.

This really is a tough question. I've read a few Debbie Macomber books, and like you, I felt they were very pleasant surprises! I actually have the entire Cedar Cove series waiting for me to start!
I can read almost anything when I'm happy, but I ended up settling on cookbooks for the meme. After all, with that much energy and happiness, I'd want to cook too!
I've never read Debbie Macomber, but I've seen lots of recommendations for her. I find it easier to focus on new books and genres when it's sunny out.
I would go for something scary. Need to get them off my TBR list.
I agree, I don't have good mood/bad mood books. Never heard of Debbie Macomber - may have to add her to my ever growing "to read" list!
Happy BTT.
