The End of Birthday Season

Birthday isn't just a day in our house - it's a season. Hubby's birthday and mine are a day (okay, two years and 364 days) apart, and then Maggie's is little more than a month later. While we are adults, being a few years apart means it feels like half the time it's a landmark birthday! And as soon as we recover from our birthday season, it's past time to start planning for Maggie's. Whew!

This year there was nothing complicated (for me) like a korg m50 on hubby's wish list. The biggest music requests lately have been specific songs/tracks/albums for me. Even those didn't quite make it to my birthday list, since I've earned a iPod I need to take delivery on first.

We are getting to the point where Maggie will be encouraged to pick an instrument soon, though. I saw someone giving away a piano recently, but pianos are...big. They feel like more of a commitment than I'm ready to make just yet. A keyboard may be just perfect.

It's currently birthday season in our house too. Both girls were born in June.
