Well, we're in the middle of a whole lotta traveling. Nothing in an airplane, although that may have been easier, the way things turned out.
Last weekend I went to my chocolate conference in Pittsburgh, PA. In another week or so I'm going to a beach in Deleware with my kids, to meet a friend and her kids. It's sure to be lots of fun. But my first choice would have been driving the car I love, which is now at the dealer for warranty work for almost a month!
Flying is usually a blessing and a curse. I love to grab my musician's friend noise canceling headphones and just checking out from reality. I can put on my favorite tunes, and enjoy the solitude. Hubby has known this for years, and wouldn't even trust me to take his on my trips, so I had to get my own. It's really the only way to enjoy air travel.
As luck would have it, I've borrowed a friend's car for the foreseeable future, and traffic isn't very forgiving to me ignoring it. So I'll listen to noisy traffic, and pay attention to my surroundings.
But when I stop for lunch I just may imagine what it would be like to check out for just a little while ;)
