for reflection and introspection? I'm turning 36 this week. On Friday the Thirteenth, I will officially be closer to 40 than 30. Time to find the best anti wrinkle cream and pluck any gray hairs I find. Hahahaha...
Actually, I'm not one of those people who puts much emphasis on age. It's mostly just a number, and I for one don't see any reason to behave differently based on it. I stood by this belief the most last year, when I turned 35 and was pregnant. According to some medical professionals, this made me 'high-risk.' Huh? Apparently there is a school of thought that could practically see my DNA deteriorating based on how long I'd been alive? Whatever. My midwife said, "Do you feel fine? Then everything is probably fine." She was right. At the ripe old age of 35, I gave birth to a beautiful, perfectly healthy baby girl.
I wonder what amazingly cool thing I'll do when I'm 36.
