Sorry, Maggie. You seem to have gotten your mother's mad skillz with styling her hair. Which is to say, none. Remember I had to switch from a low-maintenance to a no-maintenance style. I figure there's worse things to not care much about than a hair style, right?
I tried to put a little velcro bow in Maggie's hair this morning. No go. I found it in the hallway after I went to get her shoes. She shook that off so fast even I was surprised. So then we went with a headband. She got it off right away in the car, and then when I went to put it back on when we got to church, one end was all wet. Huh. Baby drool, anyone? I guess we'll be sticking with the all-the-way-around head bands for a while. Those don't seem to get her attention too much (thanks, Mimi!).
With any luck, Maggie will also inherit her mommy's teenage need of fancy acne treatments. Which is to say, no need at all. I didn't do much with my hair, but didn't have to do much with my skin. Here's hoping, for her sake, cuz she may not have fancy good hair. Hopefully the natural look will be in when she's in high school.
