Nap, anyone?

So I started reading The No-Cry Sleep Solution the other day. I'm really not too concerned with the whole 'sleep through the night' thing. She really doesn't bother me when she nurses during the night. What I'm after is a couple naps a day, and actually going to sleep in her crib a couple hours before hubby and I go to bed.

According to the book (and aren't the books always right? hahaha), she should be sleeping 11 - 12 hours at night, with a total of 3 - 4 hours of total napping during the day. Yeah. Right now, she'll usually fall asleep while nursing for a half hour or so a couple times a day (during which time I still can't do anything, because the baby is sleeping on me), and then sleeps 8 - 10 hours at night. Huh.

One of my friends at La Leche League this morning said one of her sons usually just took a couple half hour naps a day, on her. So there may be no cure. Huh.

Good thing she's cute :P

Do you use slings at all? Try nursing her in a sling. then when she falls asleep, you can get up and do what you need to get done.

I'm also reading that book. Prayse is not sleeping that much either but she is sleeping more b/c I have been paying more attention to her signals.
