Right after the delivery, I was on nutritional supplements trying to rebuild from all the blood I lost. I'm done with the extra iron now, since I figure my blood should be fine, but I'm still taking the whey and soy protein because there's no way I'm consuming the recommended number of calories each day. Did you know a nursing mother is supposed to consumer 500 calories MORE than a pregnant woman? Come on - I spend my time taking care of the baby - I can't be eating all day!
